Do you or a family member have diabetes?  Would you like to learn helpful ways to control your glucose levels?  If so, plan to attend the Live Well, Eat Well, Be Active, With Diabetes (L.E.A.D.) seminars.  Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service is offering the L.E.A.D. workshops on Nov. 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 1 – 3 p.m.

Each Monday afternoon there will be a different diabetic lesson along with a cooking demonstration of a diabetic friendly recipe.  The seminars will be held at the OSU Extension Conference Center, 2500 N.E. 63 St.

“This four-week educational program will provide tips to control diabetes, along with learning importance of physical activity that can improve glucose levels”, stated Amanda Ford, Family and Consumer Sciences Educator for the Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service and Registered Dietitian.  Whether you are a diabetic, pre-diabetic, or caring for a diabetic family member, L.E.A.D. would be a great class for you.

Pre-registration fee of $15 is required no later than Oct. 31. In order to be considered enrolled you must send payment to Oklahoma County OSU Extension Service, 2500 N.E. 63rd St., OKC, OK 73111.

For more information about this and other workshops, visit the OSU website or feel free to contact our office at 405-713-1125.
