The Oklahoma City Fire Department, in coordination with Oklahoma, Cleveland and Canadian counties, emphasizes all parts of Oklahoma City continue to be under a burn ban until further notice.  The only exception is outdoor cooking in gas grills, charcoal grills or smokers only with no open or exposed flames and having a hooded cooking area.  Other fuels for outdoor cooking and/or use of any type of outdoor fire place, chimenea or flame producing devices are prohibited.

Recent temperatures, abundant fuel and wind conditions are contributing to a high fire danger to our citizens and their property.   The ban shall be in effect until such time extreme fire danger conditions improve in the area.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department would like to remind our citizens that open burning without a permit or during a burn ban may result in fines of $177.00 to $1200.00.
