Fans of the Northwest Classen High School Performing Arts department journeyed this month to a magical, far away land, to join Aladdin, Jasmine and the lovable Genie in an exciting musical adventure full of unforgettable songs based on the Academy Award-winning Disney film.
Featuring “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me,” the story “soared on a magic carpet” ride with the jovial Genie. Attendees tagged along with the clever hero Aladdin as he fought for his true love, the beautiful Princess Jasmine.
Northwest Classen Performing Arts brough these characters inspired by “The Wonderful Lamp” from The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night (i.e., The Arabian Nights) to life in Disney’s Aladdin on December 10 and 11.
Audiences were also invited to meet the cast of Disney’s Aladdin following the performance.
