Oklahoma City— CityRep, Oklahoma City’s award winning professional theatre presents a world premiere Oklahoma musical, PRYOR RENDERING.

A lyrical coming of age tale set in the 1960s in Pryor, Oklahoma, this moving story of a young gay man’s journey of self discovery and courage will touch your heart.

Based on the critically acclaimed novel by Oklahoman Gary Reed, “Pryor Rendering” is an unprecedented collaborative creative co-production from Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre, Tulsa’s American Theatre Company and OU’s Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre.

The cast and creative team features veterans of 13 Broadway shows, including Oklahoma City’s own Stacey Logan, Julie Johnson, and Rachel Coloff.

Theatre veteran Terry Runnels, also a local-based star, has a key role, and director Stephen Nachamie, comes to CityRep directly from this year’s Tony Award winning Broadway revival of “She Loves Me.”

Also in the cast are Oklahoma theatrical mainstays Ben Hall, Scott Hynes, Jackie Smola, Jordan Jacobs and Garret Langley, as well as OU Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre students and alumni Tanner Rose, Gray Randolph, Kai Daly,Mark Jammal and Rebecca Marie Ashton.

“Pryor Rendering” will be presented in the Freede Little Theater in the Civic Center Music Hall at 201 N. Walker, Oklahoma City, OK 73102. This performance is suggested for mature audiences over the age of 16 years old.

Tickets for “Pryor Rendering” are $8 for Students, Teachers and Military Personnel (with ID), $20 (groups of eight or more), $35 (matinees) and $40 (evening performances).

Performance Schedule for ‘Pryor Rendering’ – The performance schedule is as follows: Friday, September 30 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, October 1 at 1:30 p.m.; Saturday, October 1 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, October 2 at 1:30 p.m.

The run continues Friday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, October 10 at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m., and closes on Sunday, October 11 at 1:30 p.m.

“Pryor Rendering” is a New Oklahoma Musical, with Music & Lyrics by Frank Schiro, and a Libretto by Shawn Churchman. It is based on the critically acclaimed Oklahoma novel by Gary Reed. It will be presented by Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre (CityRep) and American Theatre Company Tulsa (ATC), in association with OU Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre.
