OKLAHOMA CITY – More than 80 artists in more than 25 galleries participate, all within walking distance, in the monthly “First Friday” gallery walk on the Paseo.

Four to six Art Opening Receptions on Friday night showcase the new work of the gallery/studio owners or the work of guest artists. Many galleries offer lite refreshments.

Each First Friday of the month, Paseo galleries offer special themed exhibits, refreshments, guest artists and a variety of entertainment opportunities.

The Historic Paseo Arts District is located at 28th & North Walker to 30th & North Dewey. It is the oldest Arts District Community in Oklahoma City.

The Paseo is at the heart of Oklahoma’s City’s art community. Dozens of galleries, three restaurants and a handful of shops stand in distinctive Spanish Mission Revival style buildings, all within walking distance. Once you visit for a First Friday Gallery Walk, you will want to linger for the Paseo’s unique atmosphere.

This month’s First Friday Gallery Walk will be Friday, March 4. The walk starts at 6pm and lasts until 10 p.m.

Some galleries offer lite refreshments and two food trucks will be available. The Paseo Arts District is located at 28th & North Walker to 30th & North Dewey, is the oldest Arts District Community in Oklahoma City. Today, a vibrant group of artists, with substantial involvement and support from the larger community, continues to build The Paseo Arts District into one of the most creative art venues in the country.

The district is now home to more than two dozen galleries and more than 80 artists, all within walking distance. Intermingled among the galleries are fabulous restaurants, art schools, boutiques and other businesses.
