Before playoffs, they won the Bishop Kelley tournament, and are shown in this photograph celebrating that title. The lads defeated Sand Springs 2-1; then host Bishop Kelley in a 6-5 shootout classic; Booker T. Washington 2-0 and, for the championship, Tulsa East Central, 2-0. In addition to Antonio Zamarippa, headed to Oklahoma Wesleyan University on a scholarship worth $34,000 a year, other high achievers in the boys’  soccer program include Jorge Arreola – attending California Baptist University with a “full ride” worth $34,508 a year, and Tarig Ismail, headed to Southwest Christian University on a $12,000 a year scholarship.
