Staff Report

Dr. Charles Kimball, director of the University of Oklahoma’s Religious Studies Program and author of the new book, “When Religion Becomes Lethal”, will be featured by the Interfaith Alliance Foundation of Oklahoma in a public Forum on Thursday, May 26, at First Christian Church of OKC, 3700 N. Walker from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Dr. Kimball believes that as a society and as a world we are at a critical time that calls for greater understanding of the world’s religious traditions. In that context he addresses the issue of Islam phobia in the United States and Oklahoma. The purpose of the Forum is to increase our awareness of the complexity of our religious and political world and the need for non fundamentalist’s interpretations.

Dr. Kimball will have copies of his book available.

For further information, contact Jeff Hamilton, President of the Interfaith Alliance Foundation of Oklahoma at 640-3914.
