Firefighters said the smallest spark can start a massive fire.Oklahoma County leaders updated the burn ban and said residents can no longer use charcoal when cooking outdoors.Gas grills with hoods are still permitted.The National Weather Service said a watch has been extended for 13 counties and will remain in effect on Wednesday for Beckham, Greer, Harmon, Kiowa, Jackson and Tillman counties in southwestern Oklahoma.

South to southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 30 to 35 mph are possible.Farther to the north, a fire weather watch will be in effect on Thursday for Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Harper, Roger Mills and Woodward counties.Any fires that develop could spread rapidly, … …
