Blizzard-like conditions have forced the closure of City offices on Wednesday, February 2.

All public meetings have been canceled.

Citizens whose normal trash collection was today should set their Big Blue carts and recycling bins on the curb by 6 a.m. Saturday, February 5.  (crews don’t collect trash on Wednesdays, so tomorrow’s closure won’t impact customers)

The closing also affects Recreation Centers, METRO Transit, Municipal Court and Utilities Customer Service.

Animal Welfare reminds pet owners to bring their outdoor pets inside during cold weather.

People are encouraged to avoid driving during hazardous conditions.  Those who have to drive should have someone to call in case they are stranded.  Drivers who are stranded on City streets should try to move their vehicles off the road so other vehicles and emergency vehicles can safely pass.
